How to Play

Explore Your Surroundings
You'll be dropped into a random location on an ARK map. Look around using the 360° panoramic view - drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom in and out. Study the terrain, landmarks, and environment for clues about your position.

Make Your Guess
When you think you know where you are, click on the minimap to place your marker. You can adjust your guess as many times as you want before submitting - but keep an eye on the timer!

See Your Score
After submitting, we'll reveal the actual location and calculate your score based on the distance between your guess and the real spot. The closer you are, the more points you earn! Complete multiple rounds to maximize your total score.

Navigating the 360° panoramic view is easy with these controls:
Pro Tips for Higher Scores
- Look for unique rock formations, water bodies, and vegetation patterns to identify your location
- Pay attention to the biome type - desert, snow, jungle, redwood, or volcanic areas have distinct visual features
- Distant landmarks like obelisks, mountains, or large structures can help triangulate your position
- Notice the lighting and time of day - it can give hints about which part of the map you're on
- If you spot creature spawn areas or resource nodes, they can indicate specific regions
- Don't rush! Take time to look in all directions before making your guess
Scoring System
Your score is calculated based on how close your guess is to the actual location. The scoring works as follows:
- Perfect guess: Maximum points for pinpoint accuracy
- Close guess: High points for being within a small radius
- Moderate guess: Partial points based on distance
- Far guess: Fewer points, but you still learn the location!
Each game consists of multiple rounds. Your total score is the sum of all rounds, so consistency matters. Challenge yourself to beat your personal best or compete with friends!
